Patient-Centered Research Opportunity

The Patient-Centered Outcome Research Institute (PCORI) is seeking input from patients and family members to help select research proposals for funding. Reviewers are essential to helping PCORI fulfill its mission and to fund research that is both scientifically rigorous and truly patient-centered. As part of “research done differently,” PCORI includes patients, caregivers, and other healthcare stakeholders in reviewing funding applications. On merit review panels, patient-stakeholder reviewers and scientific reviewers are represented in equal numbers and their scores equally weighted to ensure that patient and stakeholder perspectives are heard.

If you would like to take an active role in helping drive the direction of health research you can complete the application to be a reviewer here; http://www.pcori.org/get-involved/reviewer-application/.

If you apply and are chosen, please email us at nkfadvocacy@kidney.org to let us know!
