Be a Part of NKF’s Kidney Patient Summit

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is hosting the 2nd Annual Kidney Patient Summit in Washington, DC, on March 2-3, 2015.  Join us for this special National Kidney Month event as we unite as one voice to tell Congress about the importance of awareness, prevention and treatment of kidney disease!

We are seeking articulate kidney disease patients, individuals on dialysis (all types), caregivers, kidney transplant recipients, living kidney donors, and family members from around the country who are available to travel to Washington, DC, on March 2-3, 2015. While we welcome everyone in these groups to apply, we are particularly looking for those who are not yet on dialysis or in need of a transplant.

Advocates selected to participate in the Summit will learn about NKF’s commitment to raising awareness about kidney disease and federal legislation surrounding kidney disease, dialysis, donation and transplantation. They will also connect with other individuals affected by kidney disease and meet with their elected officials to add a face and personal story to the issue.

If you are interested in joining us in our nation’s capital, you can learn more and complete the 2015 Kidney Patient Summit application online

The deadline to complete the online application is December 1, 2014.

If you are unable to join us in person but would like to participate in some way from home, please email nkfadvocacy@kidney.org with your full name, email address and zip code, and we will email you with suggestions on what you can do to participate in National Kidney Month from your home state.
