As part of our effort to raise awareness about kidney disease, NKF co-hosted a reception with the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) and other organizations honoring Members of the Congressional Kidney Caucus. Caucus Co-Chairs, Representatives McDermott and Marino, as well as Representatives Rangel and Cummings, thanked members of the kidney care community for their service and attention to kidney disease. Representative Tom Marino highlighted the kidney community’s important work and shared his personal story about his struggles with kidney cancer and how he will most likely experience kidney failure in the near future.
